WOYC Do You See What I See? Making Learning Visible

Training

Do you hear what I hear? Do you know what I know? Now that this song is stuck in your head, think about how you make learning visible. Early childhood professionals understand developmentally appropriate practice, but how do you share that knowledge with parents and others who may not know what you know? This training will help you to confidently share the value of play as the primary vehicle for learning and spotlight the important work of children through documentation and visuals. This session will focus on ‘diverse learners’ as defined by EEC.

Two Pushy Dames

#PushBackonthePushDown
So Who Are These Dames?? LeeAnn and Kathy are two Boston girls who have been in the early childhood field for a wicked long time. Both of them hold Master’s degrees in early education and have experience working in public, private, Head Start, and family child care settings. Most importantly, they’ve managed to parent a combined five kids who have survived (thrived, really) to adulthood in spite of having mothers who tested all of their theories on their unsuspecting children. LeeAnn and Kathy teach courses at both community college and university settings and take pleasure in victimizing their students with their hilarity, sarcasm and, of course, deep knowledge of young children.
