Adjusting Our Practice: Staying Strong and Safe Together

Training

In an effort to follow regulations to keep children and staff safe, the presentation of activities and learning opportunities looks a bit different than in the past. What has been the impact of those changes? Some teachers appreciate the opportunity for children to do more independent exploration. Some teachers report difficulty in maintaining children’s engagement. Still others say that the decrease in social interactions has made creating emergent curriculum more challenging. Does any of this resonate with you? Do you want some new ideas to try? In this Zoom-based workshop, teachers will have the chance to share how things are going in their classroom and hear from other teachers how the transition has been. We’ll also discuss strategies for teachers to help extend play with children while promoting individual activities in the classroom.
